Hope remains the pillar of our hearts

Unwavering Hope
If you told me one day I’d learn the meaning of life,
would you teach me what I needed to know?
If you told me some day I could conquer my fears,
Could you help me to succeed and grow?
If one day while walking I stumbled, tripped and fell,
Would you reach out to me and pick me up?
If some day the heat were to leave me tattered and parched,
Could you allow yourself to offer me a full cup?
If they told me one day that I’d be touched by words you spoke,
Would they be surprised to see me brake down and cry?
If I were to hold out my hands to you and offer my very soul,
Could you stay with me until the day that I die?
