You had one single mistake, though... "children's' minds" should have one less apostrophe... but apart from that, the text is flawless and a true pleasure to read.
You have a great talent for creativity and a powerful brush capable of painting vivid images in the readers head.
"Monsters hide in closets" was one of my favourte lines. It describes what it feels like to be afraid of darkness, which many children are. I was no exception myself, and I remember all to well how I had to sleep with the light on at times, especially when the wind and rain pounded on the window...
I sill don't feel comfortable alone in the darkness, though. Your poem just put words to that unpleasant feeling of not knowing what secrets and surprises the darkness holds.

I see the darkness differently but I still liked the poem it shows a lot of imagery and it is kind of scary even if it is short.

thanks. i view in a lot of different way sbut this one appealed to me the most. ill have to write one on a different view.
