The girl came into the bathroom. I leant against the wall. I promised myself I wouldn't cry this year, and here I am, breaking my promise again.

The girl said a name. Then she said, "Are you okay?"

The reply came from one of the other stalls, the voice drenched with tears.

She said another name, "Are you okay?"

Again, a reply.

I waited for her to say my name. I waited for her to ask that simple question, but she left.

She didn't know I was there.

The white wall had a word on it in black marker.

The word went like this: POO.

I looked at the word. It meant nothing. It was just a word.
