Yes, I’m not what I used to be.

Overcoming what I am won’t be easy.

Understanding what I am won’t be possible.

 

Cruel things, these goodbyes are.

Always knew it would come to this.

Now the memories of us are fading,

Time to forget it all.

 

My life as it is now is modeled after you.

Another weakness on my finish,

Keeping  my own woe for myself,

Even though I’m an reality veiled from you.

 

Minds exaggerate,

Eyes justify.

 

Some things within,

They appear so much more significant when people can see.

Overlooked from the outside, captivating when noticed.

Put back the edge, I command.
