A poem I had to write as an assignment to define the meaning of a literary climax. It's about the pause before a sunrise. It turned out well, especially since poetry isn't what I usually do.
Ah, books, great things, though, one must look out the window, at the un-obvious once in a while, for if you fill your head with books, some of your creativeness is likeley to slip out.
When centre aligned, this unique poem takes the shape of the vessels used for bread (Ist stanza) and wine (2nd stanza) during Holy Communion in church. It is a wounded person’s final prayer, and alludes to the last supper, hence the two symbolic vessels.
