Sirens are supposed to attract humans on the sea by singing enchanting songs. It's only natural - they are innate carnivores, human flesh is their supposed nutrition. It would be a hopeless case to fight nature, wouldn't it?
I love the sea and its sounds, and just the idea of it. On the surface, this poem is about a shipwreck and the tragedy of it all. I'll leave it to the readers to assign it a deeper meaning. Let me know what you think :]
