A contrived piece for English.

A desperate effort to, quoth my teacher, "crank out" a poem was utterly fruitless. I therefore decided to write a sort of abstract poem about the thought process. On second thought, I'll keep it simple: it's a… Read More

About me.

My name is Ady and I'm a writer: every aspect, nook, cranny what have you of my life is passionately recycled into my writing. My hobby, my catharsis, my soul.

My favorite things to do are be strange with friends, write at ungodly hours, randomly dabble in photography, eat frozen yogurt, read odd books, listen to music and just generally enjoy the randomness of life.

I like indie movies, Neil Gaiman and reading fanfiction while eating waffles at three in the morning.

Some of my favorite bands are The Shins, Bright Eyes, Arcade Fire, Belle & Sebastian and the Smiths.

Some of my favorite books are Fragile Things, Beloved, Peter Pan, Everything Is Illuminated and Brideshead Revisited.

And all the extra tidbits.

"Well let the poets cry themselves to sleep,

And all their tearful words will turn back into steam."

-Bright Eyes

"All bad poetry springs from genuine feeling."

-Oscar Wilde

"And there never was an apple, in Adam's opinion, that wasn't worth the trouble for eating it."

-Neil Gaiman

OK so of all the people on Booksie, there's been one that I've grown to love: traumatism. She's the love bucket to my sweetcakes and she's my husband: we have two beautiful autistic children. SO DON'T HIT ON HER. Just read her beautiful writing and congratulate us on our son Unicorn and our daughter Sugar Cookies of Pure Awesomeness. XD
