Profile Information

All through high school I HATED books!  I mean, why bother when you can just watch a movie or TV?  I saw books as a waste of time and effort to read them.  Then not too long after high school I joined the Navy and entered into the hardest thing I have ever done, nuclear power.

I spent two years learning nuclear power in school, then two more years on an aircraft carrier to actually operate it.  The job was tough, but I found that when I was on shift there was a lot of time where all I could do was think.  There were no phones, games, TV, or even talking to someone about something not  work related (when the big guy was looking).  So in my off time out of sheer boredom I started reading some books that were recommended to me, and as it turned out, I actually liked some of them.  After a while, I developed some strong oppinions of what I wanted in a story and some pet peeves.  The worst thing I ever read that still irritates me today is The Wheel Of Time!  I put up with it for six books and could not STAND the amount of detail that man put in.  I found that an author named Brent Weeks did a fantastic job of putting detail where it mattered and left out where it wasn't so important so the reader could imagine things for themselves.

I later found books that I thought the plot was lacking.  When I finished the book I was angry that that was what the author left me with.  I figured that after all that reading there should at least be some kind of amazing ending, but no, just crap.  So I decided that I could write something better!  Maybe not in the sense of great grammar or a dictionary sized vocabulary or maybe even punctuation, but at least a story that is interesting and exciting.

With that being said, I have written some very silly things, and the start of an attempt at a fantasy novel.

If you are bored enough to read anything I have written I hope you enjoy, and if I offend you, I don't really care!
