I'm now 15 and I like quite a few things.
I am a young writer and reader. I love creative writing and find inspiration in many things.I do game, mainly a PC gamer but do game on PS and Xbox from time to time. . Fantasy, magic and myths, (somewhat) are my favourite genres. I love reading series because I feel that if I find a good character, I just can't let them go until a proper ending happens. I used to read a lot of non fiction but not my interest has gone to fiction. Here is a list of what I have read so far (This is from memory, there are bound to be more):
I have also read many of Dan Brown's books too. I do like Michael Morpurgo's books as well. I have read only Kensuke's Kingdom but hope to read more by him. Chinese Cinderella by Adeline Yen Mah was another book I particularly liked. What I want to read is the Dune series. All of them. I've heard from a few people that the author was a genius and his books mixes so many cultures and faiths and has a really good story.
As for writing, I'm in the middle of two books. The first book I hope to make a series of. The second book was originally supposed to be something seperate but I have thought of a way to make it like a new series that's related to the first I'm writing. So the end would start a new beginning.
My first book which I started over four-five years ago is called Draytel. This is a book set in a fantasy land. It has three main characters that take turns to speak the story. I wanted to start a first person point of view book as well as multiple point of views. When I first started this book I didn't get far and it was kept on the computer for half a year until finally I got back into it. Now I hope I'm nearing the end of it, to start the second one. I do somewhat have the over all story planned out.
My second book was a book set in the present. A town or city most likely to be in England. I haven't quite specified a country or town and may just come up with one. This is a third person story. I'm not too far in but have gotten to the main point.
Other than books my hobbies include whatching anime, origami and creating card games and board games. Animes: Watching Naruto Shippuden. I've seen others as well. Origami came to when it was a rainy day. I was quite fond of it and in Primary school managed to make money out of it. As for card and board games, I did it when boredom took over my holidays. I based my first card game of a toy called Battle Strikers. This was a long time ago. I have created one card game. One board game and one of both. A card and board game based off the game Super Smash Bros Brawl.
I also have musical interests. I've tried learning a few instruments. Brass instruments, guitar and keyboard. Currently I'm learning the steel pans as part of an after school club. I listen to quite a lot of music especially when I'm writing. A few artists include: Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Red, Pillar, Simple Plan, Breaking Benjamin and Dragonforce. The usual RnB, Hip-hop and Dance (But only from time to time). I like cats. Yes the internet is full of funny cat videos and I can't get enough so I have two of my own. Summer and Winter. Favorite colours are Grey and Blue. Lucky Number: 7.
I also have a YouTube that I started in January (gaming channel) with a friend.
By joining Booksie I hope to recieve comments and feedback on my stories, to help me develop. Can I pelase also mention that do not post reading requests if you won't have time to read mine. I find it a bit ironic that some users post reading requests when thier profile requests no requests! Otherwise all welcome! I will try my best to read them!
Note: I have been away from Booksie for quite a while and recently canme back, things are being updated.
