Profile Information

Born and raised on the east coast, Jeff was the perfect example of an all around guy-- high school star quarterback, tennis, basketball and golf player, and All American diver on his swim team. In his junior year, he was asleep in the backseat of a friend’s car when  automobile skidded off the road and hit a tree.  The accident resulted in a broken neck and spinal cord injury.  For the next six months, hospitalization and rehabilitation would consume his days.  Life would now be lived from a wheelchair.

Armed with a sense of humor, Jeff began writing jokes for other comedians but soon realized the material was more suited for him.  Somehow he gained the courage to get on stage and try his routine on a comedy club audience.  At night he would develop his craft in local comedy clubs while, during the day, he transformed his writing ability into a copywriting position for national radio and magazines. He later wrote for and developed computer games for Micropose. The comedy bug never left Jeff and soon he was performing all around the country as a comedian and speaker, using his talents to touch the lives of the physically challenged and abled-bodied.  His programs have been positively reviewed by audiences’ of all ages, college campuses, organization events, fund-raisers and corporate programs.

He performs in a wheelchair and is billed as a “sit down comic who’s always on a roll.” For over seventeen years, Jeff has been entertaining groups around the country. He has performed with acts such as Kevin Nealon, Drew Carey, Tom Dreeson, The Grass Roots, Apollonia, Max Gail, Miss Universe, Dave Somerville.  His clever style of comedy opens the mind of his audience, allowing them to see that the disabled community also have a wacky sense of humor they want to share. He is not only funny, but inspirational.

Jeff’s direction in life encouraged him to move to Los Angeles to pursue his comedy and acting dreams. He has become a scriptwriter (film & sitcom) and contributing writer for  “ABILITY Magazine” and the DISABOOM website.  He has also published several humor books titled, “Medical Secrets Revealed” and “Life Is A Funny Thing.”

Recently, he wrote, produced and starred in a sitcom, GOOD SAM, that takes place in a rehabilitation hospital.  The project is currently being shopped around Hollywood along with several of his screenplays.  Jeff continues to tour the country as a comedian and motivational speaker.
