Book / War and Military
I'm a pretty easy-going girl, but I am a grammar-nazi. I love to read and write, though I don't usually have a whole lot of time to do either, unless it's for school. I volunteer two days a week with various animals and special-needs children, and I provide respic care for a little boy with Autism. I move a lot, so I have a lot of friends all around the country. My favorite TV shows, much like my favorite book, is usually whatever I've watched most recently. At the moment, Revenge is at the top of the list, with Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, Switched at Birth, and Nikita close behind. I'm an anime-lover, too, and my favorites are Bleach, Code Geass R1 and R2 (I cried like a baby in the last episode of R2...), Darker than Black, Naruto Shippuden, Fruits Basket, and Vampire Knight (Japanese Sub only. The English voices are terrible in VK). My favorite bands are Fun., Meg & Dia, Maroon 5, Linkin Park, and The Pierces, though my taste in music is very eclectic and I like a lot of random songs by random artists.
About my writing...
I tend to change subjects often, though I've been stuck on the current story I've been writing for about 2 weeks now, changing the story but keeping the characters. I'm a hopeless romantic, no matter what I'm writing. If you think there's some spark between my characters, there usually is... I like to play with flashbacks, but sometimes I forget that I haven't said certain things yet. I plan my stories out long before I write them, so I usually have it completely mapped out from the very first chapter. I also like strongly emotional scenes, especially for my main protagonist/s. I almost always write in first person, because I feel close to my characters and I try to put myself in their mindset while I'm writing. I change point of view frequently, though, and I try to give my main characters an equal amount of speaking time.
If you like my work, please tell me, because I am constantly telling myself that it sucks.
