Name: BrunetteDVM is my pen name, and my real name will not be disclosed on the internet
Occupation: Full Time Veterinary Medicine and Surgery Student (BVM&S Program).
I spend A LOT of time with my dog, and with the animals that I work with during my summer jobs and volunteering while on summer break from university. I'm in the Veterinary Medicine program and I absolutely love it.
Criticism is always welcome, whether it is positive, constructive or flames.
I hope you enjoy my writing, as I'm trying constantly to improve.
Works in Progress: Wild Magic
Blood & Barbiturate
PLEASE NOTE: Wild Magic and Blood & Barbiturate have been put basically on HIATUS; I have moved countries due to school but will update the stories periodically. I appreciate your patience, and hope you continue to read new posts.
Some quotes I really like:
"The best doctor in the world is a veterinarian. [They] can't ask [their] patients what is the matter--[they have] to just know" - Will Rogers
"When a man wantonly destroys one of the works of man we call him a vandal. When he destroys one of the works of God we call him a sportsman."- Joseph Wood Krutch
"Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far they can go."- T.S. Eliot
"Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it."- Goethe
"The wolf is neither man's competitor nor his enemy. He is a fellow creature with whom the earth must be shared."- L. David Mech
"We have doomed the Wolf not for what it is, but for what we have deliberately and mistakenly perceived it to be..the mythologized epitome of a savage, ruthless killer..which is, in reality no more than a reflexed images of ourself."- Farley Mowat
"Love the animals. God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. [Do not] trouble [them], [do not] harass them, [do not] deprive them of their happiness. [Do not] work against God's intent." - Fyodor Dostoyevsky
