Profile Information

I am Angel. Labeled  such at my birth, I now attempt to live out my name sake, a messenger of God knowing I can never achieve such results, but i do it because it pleases the Light of creation for me to try. I have three loves on this plane of creation and that is God, art, and people. My love for God gave rise to my love for art and people. To best illustrate my viewpoint i will use other's words who share the same sentiments;  "Artists are nearest God. Into their souls he breathes his life, and from their hands it comes in fair, articulate forms to bless the world"--J.G Holland. I beleive Art  can be made by all because we were created in the image of God a creator/artist, but only the bravest , most honest souls who are willing to present their true self entirely in their work, without any hesitance or shields become great artists. In a sense brave enough to stand naked before other's probing gaze of who and what they are.

I am not traditionally a poet but a painter. I know not the intricate rules of peotry but I am an admirer. My strongest connection to poetry stems from my formula in creating my paintings through my writings. I first hear thoughts, put my ideas into words and write it down, then i visualize them into representations of our reality. If you must catagorize my style of thought and art its a Symbolist one. We are spiritual dreamers who romantizise life, love and death with mythos. The Symbolist painter I admire most is Gustave Moreau (profile image: Angel Traveller) and the symbolist poet is William Blake.

On a lighter scale I am a practicioner of philosophy, riddles, and mental challenges. I'm also an avid reader of science fiction/fantazy, comics and graphic novels, believing all forms of writing settings offer gold if one knows where to look. My fictional heroes are Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes and D.C Comic's Batman. They prove to me that no fancy powers make the hero; just brains, passion, determination, justice and hard work creates one.
