Third Person Biography

Beloved author and global aspirant Catherine M. Shannon is certainly no stranger to her own abundant accolades.  Shannon was initially introduced to school children as far away as Huntington Beach CA with her gripping historical play “Narcissa Whitman and the Westward Movement”- a far-reaching work which illuminated an 1800’s American West in all its blood-soaked Manifest Destiny.

Potential fandom grew exponentially with her later short fiction adventure stories of a creative grade-schooler, illustrated best by the tale of his inventive yet under-appreciated use of a drone (in “Jason and the Day the Poop Flew”).  Ms. Shannon’s subsequent collection of short stories in “The Airport Chronicles” reveals some interesting backstories of a commercial airport, gleaned from her long work experience for an airline.  Stellar non-fiction submissions range from “The Santa Fe Trail- The Great Prairie Highway” (how US entrepreneurs navigated the West, pre-Garmin) and “Peacemaker Between Two Worlds” (introducing Modoc Indian negotiator Winema Tobey Riddle and how her West was lost).

Catherine Shannon’s writing accolades are numerous and far-flung.  Cricket Media raves “…we appreciate this opportunity to see your work and hope you will be successful [in placing it elsewhere]…” and Fun For Kids Magazine enthusiastically opines, “Thanks, but this repeats material we already have…”

Migaloz Company of Irvine CA does chime in with “Wonderful :) thanks Catherine…” upon the recent submission of her latest persuasive article for them. Her compelling SEO Search Engine Optimization freelance copywriting is appreciated- chock full of power words (you, free, instantly, new, incredible, valuable, worst, best)- along with her consistent use of an odd numeral and colon punctuation mark in her gripping headlines (statistically shown to drive traffic).  Indeed, Shannon has come a long way since receiving her University of Illinois Bachelor of Science degree in advertising/copywriting.

Despite her international fame* and devoted fans, shocking rumors have recently resurfaced about her possible retirement from writing. At long last, the elusive wordsmith addresses these malicious rampant whisperings.  “I could be induced to write again,” Ms. Shannon confesses, “if a tailor-made assignment came along.”
