About Lord of War:
During the day the continent of Shambelin is a wonderland. It’s cloaked in beautiful forests that defy the imagination, it’s the host of three mighty human cities, and it’s ruled by healers called Veilin. Life is surreal.
As the sun sets, the alluring forests reveal their true and dead forms, beasts that hunger for human flesh creep from the wilderness, and the humans barricade themselves in their cities as Veilin face insurmountable odds on the battlefield.
Clea Hart is a Veilin, and as the princess of one of the cities, she’s destined to sacrifice everything to prevent the extinction of humanity. Her mission takes a turn for the worst when the infamous Crow’s Medallion falls into her hands. The medallion, hunted by dark warlords, fearsome monsters, and wicked kings, has been missing for nearly two centuries, and keeping it that way is no easy task. Clea must take the medallion safely back to her city, but navigating the wilderness is deadly, and with no allies, she must elicit the help of a being she knows only as Ryson.
Ryson is a knowledgeable, cynical, and callous warrior whose good deeds are often the result of ulterior motives. It doesn’t help that he hates Veilin with a passion. Clea and Ryson’s radically different ideologies, paired with their stubborn natures, put them at odds. Yet when forced to cooperate, their differences begin to draw them together. Everything seems to be going according to plan, but soon Ryson’s dark and fragmented past begins to come to light. The truth changes everything, and Clea is exposed to a dimension of evil that she never thought existed.
