Profile Information

I remember a dull, grey autumn afternoon sometimes in the seventies. I was a child, standing on a chair looking out of that tenth floor window watching the other dull, grey, ten-story flats soak in the rain. The world was abstract, void of colour. It was a still; a lifeless daguerreotype, a product of imperfect technology. It was the time of Socialism, a doomed experience, a precarious vacuum one got pulled trough. My little sister came home, her little hands holding a bunch of branches covered by tiny white flowers. - " I kissed this flowers." -she said. - " They kissed me back." - " Where?" - " In the elevator. People are always smooching in the elevator, even when I'm there." - " I know, they do it when I 'm there too. I usually kick the wall." - " That stops them? " - " Not really. They just say ' Be patient, little girl, a few years and you will be kissing too!' - and then they just go on. " We laughed. Behind the grey there was a whole world waiting to be discovered by us.
