Currently, I am a junior in high school, but I've always felt somewhat older than that. Not only does my appearance fool a lot of people into thinking I'm in or graduated from college, but my mind and thoughts convince me that I've been living longer than the number known as my age. But besides that, I enjoy listening to bands like Battles, Maps and Atlases, Black Lips, Crosby (coincidental), Stills, Nash, and Young, and anything I can find something in. Part of the reason why I've joined Booksie is because I've been having an increasingly hard time overcoming writer's block, and I hope some feedback can clear my jumbled mumblings. Also, to meet fantastically talented writers, read all calibers of writing, and possibly help some similarly befuddled authors whose inditing warrants criticism.
Increasingly, I find the topic of time's non-existence and the plight of the human soul to be encouraging and titillating due to their de-valuation of humanity. But hopefully I can be brought to write on more socially-friendly topics.
Booksie.com seems like a good resource and community for burgeoning or confounded writers, of which group I am included in the latter. I hope to receive much criticism, and to check out the thousands of works already posted. Enjoy my writin', whether by reading it or by printing it out, urinating on it, soaking it in kerosene and lighting that son-bitch up in the middle of your barren garage (hopefully the first one).
Influences: T. S. Elliot, Langston Hughes, Ron Currie Jr., and Black Lips
