.A bit about me

NB.  I am not on Booksie very often, so I may not get to all reading requests.    As such I will choose which reading request I prioritise.    If you want to go higher on my priority list, give some helpful feedback on some of my work.   If you find giving helpful feedback difficult, feel free to check out my 'commenting tips'

I am 21 years old,

I live in a smallish town on the coast with my family.

I am fully blind having lost my sight in infancy.

I enjoy writing poetry and stories (which tend to end up being novels).

I am highly critical of my own work, but struggle to see where and how to improve it. All Criticism Is Welcome!

Books I enjoy include:

The Bible ,

J R R Tolkien’s The Hobbit, and The Lord of the Rings,

C S Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia,

G K Chesterton’s The Man Who Was Thursday,

Andrew Norris’s Aquila, and Portal,

Thomas Hardy, Far from the maddening crowd.

John Wyndham, The Midwich Cuckoos.

Genre’s I like include:

Action and adventure,

Science fiction,

And more.

Things I don’t much like reading include:

Full on soppy romance as the main plot,

Crude humour,

Magic in most cases, but not all,

Text which relies on a picture that is not described (for obvious reasons),

Adult content, when to do with relationships and the like.

(Please note that this list does Not mean I won’t read things that do contain them.)

My hobbies include:

Going out with the vintage motorbike people,

Horse riding

Writing (of course),

Busking on my cornet (when I have practiced and have time). For those who don’t know, busking is performing on the streets for money and a cornet is something like a trumpet, but different.

I would much appreciate it if you would return reading favours and give me feedback of any kind. Again All Criticism is Welcome!
