Profile Information

Dan Wilder is a writer and poet educated by the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz in Germany and the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where he specializes in African American Studies, Native American Literature, and Postcolonialism (mentored by Columbia U and Rutgers U scholar Emrah Khayyat). Dan is known for deep, thoughtful, and universally allusive pieces of work that speak directly to the reader's heart. His main influences are Toni Morrison, James Baldwin, Virgil, Dan Brown, Tim O'Brien, Homer, and J.W. von Goethe. Dan's writing has, therefore, elements of all his icons and is usually explicitly descriptive, because he, as once stated, wants "to capture the whole scene and take the reader out of reality into my works, into a new reality." He is currently working on two novels and an epic poem, while he began to right another blog of the successful "Momentum to Go" series that is read in 10 countries.
