Come at me and you'll see, I'm more than meets the eye. You think that you'll break me? You're gonna find in time, you're sitting too close to a flame that's burning hotter than the sun in the middle of July. Sending out your army, but you still can't win. Listen up, silly boy, and I'm gonna tell you why... ("I Burn" by Jeff and Casey Williams)
...Do I still have fans after all this time?
Regardless, I'm just checking in and saying that I had my last day of Spring session grad school today! I'll be free for a few days while I decide whether or not to take summer school. There's a chance I might in order to get through my Master's program faster, but I'll have to think about it.
In the meantime, I'm rewriting a piece that I started way back in my Sophomore year of high school, so keep an eye out for that as well as any updates to current stories.

I'm a person who has always loved creative expression. Whenever I go to Staples or Office Depot, I always browse through the writing supplies and drool over the ink pens and notebooks; at Michael's, it's the art supplies. I actually started writing stories when I was in kindergarten, beginning with making my own comic books and then going on to write my own versions of children's fables, and eventually writing my own stories. I've been working on a novel since 2008, but unfortunately I haven't really had the time to focus on it due to my workload as a full-time substitute teacher. I write little things here and there to break out of my writer's block, and more recently I have gotten into painting and drawing. I just love the arts and always look for ways to express my creativity and the surge of emotions that rush through me on a daily basis.
Creativity is something that cannot and should not be allowed to stop because it is so crucial to survival; it is something that exists in the working world as well as in personal life. Bringing out that creativity in children from a young age is what sparks them to open their minds and think of alternate solutions to problems, and it allows you a peek into how their young minds work. I am thankful for my university professor who told us to reach into ourselves and rekindle that creative spirit, and to never lose it even as we go into the adult world.
On the topic of music, I enjoy listening to music that really speaks out to me, such as Vocaloid and Nightcore, and even regular instrumental music is lovely. One of my favorite games to play is to listen to trance and/or music with a good rhythm with little to no words and just visualize a story, and then write down what you came up with no matter how silly (or naughty) it seems. I play the same game with my paints and pencils; I listen to the music and then draw what comes to mind. It's more fun playing with people because the results vary, and it's interesting to have a visual example of what goes on in their minds.
Overall, I love telling and listening to a good story, and I welcome anyone who willingly steps into my circle, whether to listen or to share. I'm very open to collaboration and will happily work with anyone who requests it.
I also have a Booksie Silk for my naughty and sexy stories~ www.booksiesilk.com/Dani_Raines
