I am a professor of English and Humanities who applies new knowledge of methods, pedagogy, and cognitive science to my student, activity centered classrooms. I am skilled in technological and computer applications in and out of the classroom, and I intend to apply and expand these in a teaching, communications, public relations, or technical writing/editing employment environment.
I have taught in higher education for 10 years, worked in construction for 20, and been in school basically since I was five years old.
My hobbies include wrestling with my children, landscaping, construction, bonsai, reading about new ideas, and writing. I enjoy the outdoors, though not in a very athletic way--more Henry David Thoreau-like.
I like to shock and rock my community--Mormons. Yes, I am one too. I like it dark, sexy, stimulating, depressing, catastrophic, traumatic ... basically a reflection of my life.
I read everything--from cognitive science to Cormac Mcarthy. I look forward to reading your mind.
