Eddie Dee

I retired in 2006 from public school teaching in Illinois, junior high and high school level. My subjects were English, Art, and Photography. I also owned and operated a studio photography business. Currently I live in a 55+ community called Hill Country Retreat where I lead an interest group in Creative Writing that meets twice monthly. I am also a member of a garden club, a photography group, and a book club. I get exercise riding an electric-assist Terra-trike about 10 miles a day. I have traveled widely in the U.S. as well as many trips to European countries, Canada, Mexico, and Nicaragua. At my age I do not aspire to publish. I write because I enjoy it. I write to entertain and to preserve memories. I share my writing—memoir, short stories, and poetry—with friends and family.
