My name isn't really Edenway, but for personal reasons, I'd
prefer not to share it.
Edenway comes from Ernest Hemingway and my personal favorite name-Eden. If I could be one person for the day-dead or alive-I would be Hemingway. For me, his writing is unforgettable and I wish more people read his works instead of mainstream books which are made popular today because less people are pushing the boundaries of creativity and imagination.
Anyway, enough of my ramblings. I'm 17 years old, but I've been writing and reading ever since I could remember. Originally, I was born in Russia, but I've lived in Israel, America, and Canada. Currently, I'm attending boarding school in England and I hope to pursue English at Oxbridge or elsewhere in England. I went into boarding school last year, in a different country, not knowing anyone. I can tell you firsthand-all the cliche stories of the "pretty-new girl being bullied but finding her Prince Charming and everyone loving her even though she is poor" is completly false. For starters, nobody in prestigious prep school's really cares about money or how attractive you are. It comes down to wether or not you're sociable and friendly instead of scheming and gossiping. If anybody wants to know more about what it's like to attend private school, I can give you a very detailed-yet boring-account, I've attended a couple in my day and I can garuntee that it's really not like what you read about.
I have a very supportive group of friends, a boyfriend, and a family which inspires me to write every day. I've won a short story competition with my work Misconception which was judged by a Times Literary Magazine journalist. I also started a Writer's Group in my school and I have almost as much books as I have clothes-which trust me-is way too much.
If you want me to review and critique any of your work, don't be afraid to leave me a comment. Yes, I can be harsh sometimes but I find that the writing on Booksie is very unoriginal and cliche. I realize that "The Hunger Games", "Twilight", and "50 Shades of Grey" are all great novels for some people, but to be honest with you-it's utter and complete garbage. I've read all three books and their series and all I could think about whilst reading each book was how it's a rip off of another book just watered down to feed the hungry masses of our mindless generation.
So push the boundaries and push your limits, because that's the only way you can push yourself! :)
