Latin to English

I made the switch from Latin to English titles for the Opportvnvs Adest series. People all over told me English was easier to understand as well as pronouce. And when your own family agrees, maybe its time to listen!

Anyway, it is the sames stories, just different titles now.

Please check them out and let me know what you think.

And please send me your stories as well.

Profile Information

Hello everyone.

My name is Ethan Howard. I graduated from Rutgers University with an English and Political Science degree. Once an alternative school teacher, a combat veteran, and a former psychological consultant,

I am now a director of a social service program for  homeless youths. I live in the San Diego area with my wife and son and we love to hike and play board games on a Saturday night. In my spare time, I write every chance I get.

In 2014 I self-published an anthology of horror stories called Tales of the Unexpected on Amazon.

Sidereus Nuncius was published Oct 2015. It is part one of a science fiction fantasy series called Opportvnvs Adest.

If you like apocalyptic stories with twists and turns than this is definitely for you.

I was inspired by Alan Moore’s League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Mr. Moore created a world where all of the Victorian characters exist and interact with each other. Mr. Moore designed a catalog for all of his characters and extensive backstories. It was impressive blend of the classics.

I also was inspired by the grand spectacle of Tolkien’s Lord of the Ring series. The number of characters and their importance increased as the story moved along. My story has the same feel as I introduce different players who at first appear benign but their relevance is unveiled later.

In the course of writing my story, I created addendums for Opportvnvs Adest like an Earth timeline (dating 4.6 billion years ago) and an encyclopedia of all the characters, worlds, weapons and major events.

Look forward to chatting with you.

Peace EH
