About

Born to a family of artist in 1942, Gil’s imagination was fine-tuned at such an early age.  Creative positions were awarded him throughout his life; positions such as Reporter for the Military News Paper Stars and Stripes, National Advertising Production Manager for Catalina Swimwear and Sportswear, 25 year career as a Restaurant Designer, Official Portrait Artist for the 2003/04 Western Conference Basketball Champions Sacramento Kings, and his artworks chosen to hang at the 2000 California State Fair.

This award winning artist set his paintbrush aside five years ago to write.  In this joyful debut,    A Walk Back Home he paints a humorous picture of life as it was in the in the 1940s and early 50s in his home town of south central, Los Angeles. So descriptively beautiful are his chosen words__ if put to canvas they would rival a Norman Rockwell painting.
