Welcome to my reviews blog!

I have started a blog and sharing it across all social media platforms that I have at my disposal. The plan is to select at least one writer each day and write a short review with a link that goes directly to that piece of writing. For those interested in a review please send me a quick message and I will be happy to take a look at it.

Happy writing and reading all! :-)

Profile Information

Hello everyone. :-) Welcome to my profile. I have been writing for as long as I can remember. It was always a hobby of mine. It wasn't until recently that I decided to persue it as a career. I am only just beginning and have a long way to travel. I enjoy reading also and if you leave a comment on my profile suggesting one of your pieces I will be more than happy to read it time permitting. I say time permitting, because I am also juggling the household and my 3 adorable children.

My hobbies, aside from the obvious are cooking (I consider it an art form), anything arts and craftsy (is that a word?) including crocheting, scrapbooking, spending time with my family (they are the most important thing to me) and watching my favourite TV shows and movies. I love Game of Thones, True Blood, Salem, Grimm, The Walking Dead, Supernatural, Vikings, Shadowhunters, etc. Based on this you could probably tell what genre is my favourite, however I will read anything; once again, time permitting.

I have a diploma in Information Technology and I am also considering a creative writing course with the College of Journalism to refine my skills and learn a few new techniques. As an aspiring writer I take my work very seriously and my goal is to have at least one published novel within five years. I hope I can forfil this.

I also love comments, but only if you feel like my piece deserves one. Well, scratch that. I accept positive comments as well as constructive criticism. I will also do the same for you, if you wish. All you need to do is ask me. If I don't get around to it straight away, I sincerely apologise...but bare with me, as I was never in the circus so my juggling skills aren't all that brilliant. (Har har).

A little more about me. Hmmm, let's see. I am 34 years old (eeek! gasp) but I am young at heart.

I lived in Queensland for about nine years but recently moved to Kew (just south of Port Macquarie), Australia. I love to listen to music while I type, although I have been caught typing the song lyrics accidently whilst trying to write a short story or novel. I can multitask pretty well, but sometimes I get lost in the song (singing along) and well, it happens. Don't judge. :P I have a very eclectic taste for music and will listen to mostly anything and everything depending on my mood, time of day, season, etc. I have a dog named Duchess who is a bullmastiff x staffy mix.

My 15 year old daughter also writes. She does a lot of extra curricular stuff at high school and was recently part of a small group of students from the school she attends that were offered an extension program for creative writing by University lecturers. Mum is SO proud. We wrote a short story together titled, The Tears of Blood. Please, do be a dear and check it out. RIGHT NOW! Ok, ok...time permitting. :-) Seriously though, we are so proud of that piece and we are hungry for all feedback.

I have read Criss Sole's Autobiography titled, The things he Shattered. It is the first full novel I have read on Booksie and I highly recommend it. Please do head over to her page and read it. It is brilliantly written and such a powerfully moving true story. The link is below:

Some other novels I am currently reading are as follows:

  • Love in the Land of Dragons - Nikki Evans
  • Stolen by Wolves - InCaylable - Finished reading and LOVED IT. P.S If you're reading this, InCaylable, you need to write more!
  • EmberSpring - ShadaStorm120
  • Unevia, The White Pocketwatch - Mickoman
  • Kingdom of Eternal Darkness - The beginning of my end - FragileEyes
  • Containment Trial - Arid Land Kate
  • The Elements of Horror - Victoria Quinn - Waiting (im)patiently for you to write more! :P

I will still take all requests, however - due to the amount of novels I am currently reading, I may not read the whole thing; probably just a chapter or two for the purpose of a review. (Unless I really love it, then I will make a note of it for future reference and read it once I have finished some of the above novels. All of which come highly recommended by the way.)

So I guess that's about it for now. I will bid you adieu and hopefully we can build on our Booksie friendships, fan bases, etc together. Happy writing everyone! :-)
