                                        Haden Thomas: Pro Golfer

He steps up to the ball, goes behind it to see where he wants to hit the ball, and goes back, everyone is quiet. Boom, he hits the ball. It lands on the green. He comes up to put the ball, then he goes back behind it and tries to find the break on the green so he can find a spot to aim the ball. He comes back, and hits the ball and its rolling, rolling, and he misses it by an inch to the left. That was the one put he needed to make to win the PGA Tour championship. He still holds his head high and shakes the other golfer’s hand. “How was that loss Haden?” “I don’t know, thought the break was 2 inches to the right and I didn’t hit it hard enough.” “What are u going to do now?” “I guess go work on my putting skills.”

Hey everyone, my name is, Haden Thomas, and as you know I am a pro golfer on the PGA Tour. I didn’t win it this year but I hope I win it the next year and you can bet that I will be in the last round of the tournament. My first tournament that I ever played in was the 2009 PGA Tour championship and I did so bad that I didn’t even want to play. I came home and just went to my bed and just sat around all day watching espn. They kept talking about want I did only if I would have made that put. They kept on and on about it so I just turned the television off and went to bed for the day.

The tournament that I won was the, The Masters in 2010. I had to go against, Tiger Woods in the last round of the tournament. We came up to the last hole and we were both even through 17 holes and we were going on the last par 3on the course. My caddie told me to pull a 9 iron out of my bag. So, I did what he told me to do and I came up to the bal and did 2 practice swing and then I stepped back up and hit the ball. I landed the ball about 20ft from the hole. Then Tiger came up and took 2 practice swings also, then he came up and hit the ball. It landed about the same length as mine but just a little farther away from the hole than mine. The crowd started to scream and we were waving our hands at them and then, they got quiet. We were walking and we finally got to the green and started to go to our ball and I had to mark mine because it was in the way of his ball and you have to pick it up and if you don’t, if hr hits your ball, then wherever your ball goes, that is where you have to hit the ball. So he came up and hit his ball and it rolled short and to the right of the hole. Then I came up and I hit my ball and it went in the cup and everyone started cheering and I was going wild. Tiger and I shook hands and told each other good job and then I went and claimed my trophy, went home, and celebrated. I could not believe that I had beat the greatest player ,that is living today, Tiger Woods in golf.

When I was a kid I always wanted to play golf but I was never good at it. My fist time playing was  in 1987 during the summer and I didn’t have nothing to do so me and my friend went and play golf and we did pretty good for our first time, but it was awful for someone who has played the game their whole entire life. I joined the high school golf team a year later and I improved a whole lot from when I first started playing the game. We did pretty good that year and we all did about the same in the tournaments that we played in.

I retired in 2025 because I just didn’t feel like playing in big tournaments on the PGA Tour anymore and it was just getting bored playing like it was for some big prize that I just wanted to play with my friends and have a good time and not care about playing in all; kinds of tournaments. This is why I am a pro g
