Profile Information

Hey there, welcome to my page.

My name is Intravenous and in this section I'll explain to you the style I have written in here and why I have written the way I have. If you take the time to read this all then thank you.

If you have read any of my work, you will notice that my pieces are very short, and very intense. Sometimes they rhyme and sometimes they don't. I like to write about intense human emotion, and in my writings I feel I put emotion under the literary and creative magnifying glass. I think part of the reason that my pieces are so short sometimes, is that I like to write in the moment and write about the moment too and I feel that in my mind if I have left the moment, continuing to try and write after that for the sake of length will ruin it and crowd the piece.

I think I'm a bit of a tragic andrenaline junkie when it comes to emotion and tend to listen to music when I write and fully immerse myself in an emotion/mood/sceneario I then write and describe the emotion and events almost from the inside out, painting the mechanisms and the heart of the moment onto the page with metaphor and analogy. I also tend to write if I am in an extreme state of emotion, as it is a way of venting, turning whatever state of emotion I am feeling into what I like to consider art, and from what I have found out so far, a way of learning more about myself.

At the moment I think my poems tend to have a depressing side to them, but I will probably write some more cheery things in the future, I just fear that in my other extreme it will be very cheesy and fluffy!

If you do take the time to read my writing, I am very much appreciative of this, and any comments, criticisms or just general feedback would be very much appreciated.

Thankyou for your time,

Intravenous
