Essay / Non-Fiction
Ok, so I have been thinking over publishing a few of these. They are horrible, and scattered and choppy, but they are excerpts from the journal I kept while overseas. With the urging of some wonderful ladies… Read More

About
**Me, driving in Iraq...God I LOVE my job! LOL**
Hmm... what to say. I am in my mid-twenties, but forever young at heart! I have one daughter, who is my whole world. I have always loved to write, but for some reason always been too scared to share any of my writing. Aside from your typical high school and college essays I really have never shown anyone the pieces I have written or that are currently in the works. I stumbled upon Booksie one afternoon and feel in love with so many of the great stories I read, I admired the talent of these people fearlessly posting their work and thought, why not...maybe I should make an account.
I am also in the service, have been for 5 years now. I suppose at some point it dawned on me that being afraid to post my writing seemed trivial considering that I did a tour in Iraq and could survive that. Though the fears attached to them both are vastly different, they are similar. I can risk my life, physically but I am afraid to share what I write? So what the heck...I'll do it, I said. So I am finally creating an account so I can do more then just read the great stories here, maybe I could post a story or two of my own.
I am not expecting greatness from this, just another milestone to say I overcame! I hope there is at least one person that will like something I write, or at least leave some great tips and advise! So thanks for taking the time to read this...I hope it wasn't too dull and pointless. I might come back and update this later, but for now this will have to cover the basics.
Please Enjoy
