A smoky cloud in basement tapes Of shifted judgement's birthing fates And from the question, came the son Of western ties to eastern run Who picked a pencil from the tree And saw it fit for melody So with great haste and remorse He spat out all the line and verse Hoping not, and wishing for An empty head, a wallet poor "To simplify was key", said he Give light the darkened thinking tree Of knowledge here but gone today He ponders as he makes his way From thought to thought and cloud to cloud Forever risen, "Come back down!" The crowds begin to make their path Through gossip filled and cruelty wrath And from above, his mind so high He turned from roads and hit the sky And yelled below, "Now listen here!" "I'll tell you if you hear me clear!" Through all the pain, hostility And all regretful mistook deed Just look within and you shall see That you, just now, have re-met me
