Profile Information
Hey you guys, my name is Julia, nice to meet you. I'm 16 and a senior in high school. I constantly find my life to be super stressful and crazy so I vent/escape through my writing and my art. I also love reading, I'd say my first book series was either the Magic Tree House books or the Junie B. Jones books but my first real book series was Percy Jackson (which is freaking amazing by the way). Some of my other favorite series (that I totally recommend you read) have been, but are not limited to, The Mortal Instruments, Divergent, The Missing Series by Margaret Peterson Haddix, The Kane Chronicles, Dork Diaries (started this one when I was younger and it kind of stuck), The Maze Runner, Artemis Fowl, Several John Green Books, The Inheritance Cycle, and the Inkheart Trilogy.
Little background about me, cause it's always good to know a bit about the author you're reading from, I come from a single parent home. Now, I realize this is no special case, but I feel it kind of sets itself apart from other single parent homes, because while I live with my mother, it seems rather hard to escape my father. You see, bipolar manic disorder runs in my father's side of the family. My grandmother, older sister, and father are all bipolar manic. Let's just say, it makes life interesting and gives a whole new meaning to the word, "maniac." Anyway, so I have daddy issues, bottom line, and while I have a restraining order against him till I'm 18, he somehow still finds new ways of showing up. Honestly, it's getting rather irritating. You'd think filing a restraining order would get the message across. Anywho, so, yeah, my life never really seems to go as planned. But hey, I'm 16 and a senior about to graduate with my AA thanks to dual enrollment, so it looks like my future could be awesome, right? XD I mean, I have a great group of friends and a loving and supporting mom and siblings. But with my life being the constant, changing, chaotic thing that it is, you will find this is often reflected in my poems and short stories, so I'm sorry if some of these are terribly depressing. You will find, however, that some of them do tend to have a lighter side, for I am an optimist who is enthusiastic about love and loving others and the world around me. Call me crazy with today's world as it is, but hey, it's who I am. Anyway, it's nice to meet you! Drop a comment, quickie, or book reccomendation while you're here! Or, you know, don't. Whatever you feel like.
