Short Story / Horror
Hello, my name is Justin Anthony Santos. Born and raised in Los Angeles. I'm a horror fanboy. I'm here to learn from other readers and read their stories. Everyone deserves to be heard. My stories are meant to be aiming toward adults. I however can write something aiming for family of all ages equally. I can do my best to expand my genre of imagination and creativity. I can do my best to range from Horror, to Erotica to Science Fiction to spiritual. My inspirations range from many. If you insist on knowing them, I'll glady explain to give you a glimps on what I mostly will do. Again, I would love good and bad criticism for fixing some things. We all need it.
My inspirations come from many such as book authors, movies, shows and life. For book authros, I would say Stephen King and R.L Stine. As far as horror goes, Stephen King and R.L Stine has shown me many ways of how horror can be. I like the way their imagination expands in the horror genre. I grew up watching horror as a young kid. The fear pushed my adrenaline high enough for me to keep on coming back. As a kid, R.L Stine has caught my attention like Stephen King did.
I look back on R.L Stine now, and it's not scary as it used to be, but the stories in which he writes are fantastic for his auidence. I like his imagination. I like his stories. I wouldn't mind reading and watching them as an Adult. I've always wonderd how R.L Stine's stories would adapt into R rated horror. Not that I'm agaisn't kid friendly horror. Which I'm not. George A. Romero has inspired my love for Zombies. Dario Argentos taste in horror has also inspired me. Wes Craven has inspired me as well.
Twilight Zone, X-Files, and Outer limits have also inspired me to write Science Fiction. As far as Science fiction goes, i like the way twilight zone and outer limites expanded their strange stories. X-Files inspired me about how can we act in such circumstances the characters were in. The mysteries they were invovled in which includes aliens, chupacabras.etc. Another kid friendly horror show called "Are You Afraid Of The Dark?" has also inspired me just like R.L. Stine. Spiritual/life inspirations come from God and life itself. Erotic stories come from my expierence. I admit, I enjoy erotic stories. I would love my genre in writing to expand in many genres.
As much as I enjoy thrillers, I have hard time writing thrillers. I can learn. I'm willing to learn. I will learn. I will walk this story telling journey.
