About

My name is Katie. I'm eighteen and a senior at WMHS.

I started writing a few years ago when I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Degenerate Bone Disease, and Scoliosis.

I've had three major back surgeries in the past couple of years. I've spent a lot of time in the hospital.

I tend to write a lot about relationships and things going on in my life.

I read a lot.

Some of my favorite books are; The Time Traveler's Wife, A Piece of Heaven, The Diary of Anne Frank, Number the Stars, and various others.

My mother left me within the first few months of my life and I haven't seen her since. I've spent my childhood hopping between foster homes, my grandparents, my aunt, and father.

As a result of my depression, I used to cut myself, and the years after have been a struggle. Hence, most of my poetry comes from my struggles.

I write completely from expeience.
