Profile Information

Kerry ONeal was born in 1953 in Illinois, to Italian and Irish parents. His Father was an English/French teacher, an author of short stories, and he owned two dance studios. His Father was an accomplished concert pianist and could play whatever he heard, sometimes writing his own music, giving private piano lessons, and he also taught ballroom dancing, along with other forms of dance, and was the director of several local musicals. His Mother was his strength, always encouraging him to go through life with a glass half full; never half empty. He was an illustrator for several high school and college textbook publishers and drafted exploded views of newly invented farm machinery, along with their instruction manuals. Designed business logo’s, police badge’s, and artwork for MTD city buses, and he still enjoys woodworking and sketching trees. His first published book contained two children’s stories, ‘I Wish I could Fly - The Lonely Caterpillar’, and its sequel, ‘I Can Fly - The Lonely Butterfly’, in 2006. They are currently available for the Kindle and in paperback from Amazon.

Living in Florida since 2004,  he started writing short stories, several years ago and published his 1st book of stories called ‘What If - An Anthology of Short Stories’ over 2 years ago. The 2nd edition of these stories is called ‘What If - An Anthology of 13 Short Stories’, including two additional stories were published in  2018. Each story originates from the basic question in the title, but then the similarity ends; entering into the realms of ghosts, the paranormal, inspirational, fantasy, sci-fi horror, and the unexplained.
