I hate talking about myself, so I promise I will TRY to be brief:
I am a long-time fan of science fiction, dating back to the original "Star Trek" series which introduced me to the the genre.
When developing my series, "The Reign", the original "Star Trek" and "Babylon 5" were primary influences.
*One really cool point of interest(of which I am very proud): Linda Lee Cadwell & her daughter Shannon Keasler(the wife and daughter of Bruce Lee) gave me permission to include selected passages from Sensei Lee's seminal martial arts doctrine, "The Tao of Jeet Kune Do" in my novel "The Reign: Destiny - The Life of Travis Rand". I am eternally grateful for their permission, and I feel the inclusion of such passages helps lend credence to the authenticity of the character Travis Rand.
Although "The Reign" is a series of books all taking place in the same universe, it is NOT necessary to buy all the books in order to understand some overall arc. While certain characters do make appearances in one another's books--thereby giving the reader potentially new viewpoints on how some characters are perceived--each novel is a stand-alone story.
BE WARNED: "The Reign" is unflinching, adult science fiction. It pulls no punches when telling its story, nor makes apologies for such. I have done my best to combine the intelligent storytelling aspects of "Babylon 5" with the adventurous spirit of the original "Trek". Based on a review of my screenplay "The Reign: On Wings of Blood and Vengeance", wherein one person stated it was "as good as any 'Star Trek' or 'Babylon 5' episode" they had ever seen, I feel that on some level, I have succeeded.
I would like to thank everyone who reads these sections of my books for taking the time to do so. I hope you'll visit my main site, www.reignnovels.com (you can read more sample chapters, along with snippets of my screenplays. You can also order books in "The Reign" series there. "The Reign: Destiny - The Life of Travis Rand" is also available at www.lulu.com ) and the secondary site www.thereignstory.com (this site contains news articles "from the future", set within the universe of "The Reign").
Sorry I was a bit long-winded, but we're all writers here, so you know what that's about. ;-)
Hope to hear from you!
