I'm back!!
April 15/23 Update
And I'm back! The first chapter of "Martha Holmes Mysteries 2" has been posted. I am so happy to be posting again - I missed first-draft writing while in the midst of editing and rewriting "Beyond Dark 2." That isn't finished yet, but I am definitely working on it. Sometimes it's liberating to just let your brain run rampant in a first draft. I've always found that having a first draft to work on while editing/rewriting something made the process easier, and I drifted away from that for a while. MHM 1 has been selling decently well too, which is incredibly encouraging. I don't know yet how long this series will be as I am still working on a series arc to overlap the character ones. Having started this one for fun, I guess it's time to get serious and do some plotting.
As for "Beyond Dark," I am still editing/rewriting BD2 and figuring out what exactly is going to happen in BD3. I burned out around the time I was writing the first draft, and must revisit it to drastically improve it before posting again.
I appreciate the patience and support while I figure my life out. Onward and upwards now!

"Magic Touch" takes Alyssa and Thayer to the blinding lights of Las Vegas, where murders crop up around a famous magician. Is she the culprit, or is someone around her trying to destroy her career and reputation? Magic comes with a price - but who is paying it?
"Beyond Cover": I am archiving the series to do a complete rewrite. BD3 gave me a lot more ideas of what to incorporate into BC and I know it can be much better. I don't currently have a timeline for BC's return.

About
I am a Canadian author who wants to share the worlds inside my head with everyone. This is a journey I have been on for most of my life. The first book of my crime fiction series, "Beyond Dark 1: Belladonna" is now available at various retailers as ebook and paperback! It was followed up by the debut to my mystery novella series, "Martha Holmes Mysteries 1: The Lost Girls."
The theme woven through my books is survival. We survive adversity, trauma, hardship and obstacles every day. I survived a decade of child abuse and domestic violence. I want fellow survivors to know they aren't alone. You matter. It is okay to hit rock bottom, to fall, but we don't need to unpack and live there. Writing is what helped me survive, and continues to do so. It has been my life-saving foundation while struggling with mental illness and PTSD. Now, I want the worlds inside my head to reach you.
