Song of the Moment: Bloodline by Matt Morris ft. Justin Timberlake
This song is complete genius. I stumbled upon it accidently, when I was on YouTube one night, in the mood for the song, Hallelujah. I typed it into the search box, and I saw that there was a cover of it by Justin Timberlake. But I accidently clicked on Justin and Matt's performance on the Ellen show, singing this song. I can't find an un-live version, so to listen, you'll probably have to listen to this version, but it is still so amazing. The words suck you in, making you want to understand what Matt's moody voice is singing about. Justin Timberlake has a very small part, but his high voice harmonizes so well with Matt's deeper one, and his facial expressions and presence in this live performance are so interesting to watch, because he is so into it. It's perfect for a relaxed mood, and I've already listened to it about one hundred times, and I'm still not sick of it.
Book of the Moment: Boy Toy by Barry Lyga
This book was absolutely amazing, definetely one of my all time favorites. It deals with so many issues, from sexual harrasment, to love, to heart break, to anger, friendship, and so much more. The main character is a male, and his voice and thought process is so refreshing to read. He's not predicatble at all, and the author definetely makes it realistic, seeing as the main character's situation isn't commonly read about. The insight into his life is so new and interesting to read about, and the characters are incredibey memorable, and so fresh. It can be a little confusing, with the flashbacks and stages that the book is put in, but it all comes together beautifully, into a heart breaking, heart warming, utterly amazing read. And, of course, there is some definite love, with a relationship that is also something I don't read about often. I highly, highly, suggest this book. It can be a very dark and raunchy at times, but the message is beautiful, and the characters bring some very funny lines and addicive personalites, making you fall in love with this brilliant book.
