Profile Information

Just a regular who started writing stories back in 1983 when I was 12 years old.  I started doing so when my 7th grade teacher gave me the assignment in a detention.  She told me to write a one-page story about someone escaping from the electric chair.  I wrote it (and, of course, it was terrible and I'm pretty sure I stole the idea from story I'd read though I can't remember the title or author of the original story), but after turning it in and mumbling something a student shouldn't say to a teacher, she told me that I had another detention and I had it in me to write stories and possibly, some day, novels.  At the time, I thought she was full of shit, but the idea stuck with me and, eventually, I started doing some writing now and again.  It wasn't long before "now and again" became "constantly."  My mother, being an English Professor, heartily encouraged this.

I've been writing ever since and, while I've never been published, I still keep doing it.  Many years ago, a friend asked me why I keep doing it if I never send anything in to get published.  I told him that it's because I'll go freakin' insane if I don't keep writing.  When he asked why I would go insane, I told him it's because playing God is a very powerful drug.

Thanks to the internet and my fiancee's insistance, I'm publishing on this site so that I can finally let other people see what I've written.

I ask anyone reading my stories, to be as honest a bitch as possible when giving suggestions to improve my stories.  I know what I'm trying to get to when I write.  However, I can't be sure I'm putting across even when I edit.  In other words, it's okay to think what I write stinks like a dirty porta-potty, but it's not okay not to tell me why.  Someone saying simply, "It SUCKS" without an explanation is just a jealous crab-ass.

Thank you for your interest!
