Essay / Non-Fiction
My name is Linda Hobbs. I am 49 years old, and have always had a love of writing. For a year or so, I was a community reporter.
I became disillusioned by the politics of news media, and have not written a word since.
Now, I miss the creative process. I miss the days I wrote fiction, just for the love of writing. I used to write all sorts of short stories,
with no commercial success - but it wasn't about the money. Good thing.
A little about me: I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have two wonderful older brothers. One lives in Albuquerque.
The other lives in Virginia, but we remain close.
I have a bachelor's degree in Sociology. I am the mother of two sons now adults. They still live at home, while they attend college.
I have been married since 1988. No grand kids ... yet. I have worked, for the most part, as a veterinary receptionist, but am taking a break.
Now, I stay home and take care of the family. I'm so glad we are all still together ... and I am looking forward to this new adventure!
Thanks for your time ~ Linda
