Profile Information

I by no means think of myself as a well educated writer. Like most girls it all started with my diary. In my adolescent years I would write down everything that happened that day and what person I had a crush on that month. Along with my dreams and fears of the future. I enjoyed reading as well. I thank Princess Belle for that feeling I get every time I enter a library. The adventures reading can take you on is so wonderful to me. The love of Journaling and reading never really faded as I got older. In high school I scraped by in my English classes but I absolutely loved taking Creative Writing my senior year. It really opened my eyes to the fun side of writing. I mostly wrote what I liked to think were short stories and poems. After I graduated I never really stopped writing. I even created a blog and eventually I wrote my first story based off a children's movie I had watched many times. Unfortunately the whole process became very stressful and created a lot of self doubt for me. So I gave up and stopped writing and closed my blog. But the words never stopped flowing through my mind. After some time and encouragement from loved ones I went back to just writing poems on Facebook. But I didn't want everything I was writing on Facebook and the Note program they had felt limiting so I got an app on my phone. It was fulfilling for awhile but I started to miss the sound of my fingers typing so I came back to the computer to transfer everything I had written on my phone and create new stories. But I always questioned what the point of all this writing was if no one really got to see it. Which after doing some research brought me here. Hopefully being on a more public platform just for writers and readers will help me develop better skills as a story teller. Maybe one day I will even be able to go back and finish the first story I ever wrote and complete many others.
