"The Colors of Fire" Almost Finished and Fine-tuning "Necromancy For Dummies"

With "The Colors of Fire" reaching its "fiery" conclusion in a few more chapters, I'm taking some time to go through "Necromancy For Dummies" and fine tune it.  I'm beyond pleased with how beloved it has become, and look forward to publishing an actual book from it!  You can find both "The Colors of Fire" and "Necromancy For Dummies" in my Portfolio.  Enjoy!

Profile Information

I have a passion for creative writing, particularly in the genres of horror, science fiction, fantasy, and the ocassional comedy.

In real life, in contrast to the subject matter of my works, I am a funny guy who delights in making people laugh.  I may be misanthropic in my views of humanity as a whole, but I adore individual examples that argue against that view.  The human mind fascinates me to no end, whether for better or worse.  I don't so much pick apart people's brains; rather I revel in the journey through their psyche, what makes them tick, and (if I like them) allow them to do the same through my mind (God help you).

I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at the age of 15 since AS wasn't well known in the early 2000's.  To no one's surprise, my autistic savant happens to be writing.  I completed a sixty-seven page fantasy story in the eighth grade years before I began reading recreationally.  Today I read to improve on my skill and to be of benefit to future authors.

If your seeking constructive criticism with a dash of praise if applicable, I'm the guy for you!  If you ask me to review your work, please keep in mind that I can't really bring myself to read anything outside my aforementioned genres of choice.  If you wish for me to step outside that, you'll have to REALLY grab my attention.

Also: If you comment any of my works with a, "This is good please read my stuff", I will not do so.  It's nothing against you.  It's just counter-productive to why I love this community.  Give me something to chew on and then I'll give you the same courtesy.  Even if you can't find faults in a piece, at least tell me what you thought of it and why you think it's fine just the way it is.

And now, for your viewing pleasure, a list of my favorite quotes:

"The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown."  - H. P. Lovecraft

"I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity."  - Edgar Allan Poe

"Monsters are real, and ghosts are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes, they win."  - Stephen King

"I do not love men: I love what devours them."  - André Gide

“Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.

In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming.” – H. P. Lovecraft (again)

"The Nightmares and Monsters I've fed are safer on paper than left in my head."  - Me  (PLOT TWIST!)
