Well, I've finished the last book I've begun; the Warrior Queen. I must admit that it was interesting, though I'm not much of a fan of non-fiction. She just randomly decides to kill herself at the end? (Sorry if I wasted the book) Sure your army was just decimated by a force a fifth the size of yours, but still..

Anyhow, I'm reading Robots of Dawn by Isaac Asimov. Gotta love the sci-fi books, and Asimov has it all for the genre.

As for my writing, I revamped the first act (for those who don't know - the first ?16? chapters are actually one whole chapter - I just divided it up for easy reading and called the whole thing an act) again. It's now even MORE EXCITING! I also changed the main character's name from Marty to Astor, because his girlfriend's name is going to be Mara. Marty and Mara is a little confusing, since I do not approve of the overuse of alliteration. I do unconsciously use it though... along with alot of Macbeth references in the text. I should probably cut back on that too :P

Nevertheless, the first act is slowly becoming more and more solid. There's a few minor issues still, but I'd still love to see more feedback! I need at least 10 comments (though I'm lenient) before I think of uploading the start of the second act - it needs a lot of work anywys.

Keep your stick on the ice.

Overview:

On the edge of our galaxy, a star passes away. Whether due to a flaw in nature, or an aspect of fate, a key hole into our brightest pasts – and our darkest futures – opens for man. Some doors are better left closed, but this is one that Ben Stratform is destined to open. He is forced to call an old acquaintance, Astor Barlefour, for the final key to the greatest discovery of man. But an anonymous agency conspires to stop the project from ever happening. Astor must judge his loyalties and trust in a fictional world where free-will itself is in question. But soon, events lead to Astor doubting his own existence, and forcing him to enter his past to stop a plot from the future.
