about me My name is Amanda. I have a few different nicknames, depending on who you ask. I'm 16-years-young. I love writing, obviously. It's a drug and something I do to relieve stress and keep myself mellow. I love reading as well. Go figure!

Music is also a drug! I have found that I cannot write without music. It is absolutely impossible and just cannot be done no matter how hard I would try if I really wanted to.

If there are any bands or singers that aren't on here and you wanna know if I listen to them or not, just ask. I don't bite. :P And if you have any suggestions of music you think I may like or music that helps you write, then tell me. ^^ I love learning of new bands.

I'm really big on music. I used to want to be a singer when I was little, that was my dream occupation. It still kind of is, but being a writer is  my major goal. And besides, I get major stage fright when it comes to singing in front of thousands of people. A friend of mine once asked me what would I do about my stage fright when I become a famous author. I told her that it would be different with that, then if I was a famous singer. Because all I'd have to do is try my best to ignore my fear of public speaking and go up there and talk about my book and writing, not sing.

I mostly write novels that are fiction. I can't write non-fiction at all and don't want to even try. Fantasy/romance is my thing. Don't like it, then oh well, it's what your getting. :P I find it hard to write a novel that has no fantasy in it, like vampires; witches; werewolves; etc. because it's what I like to write about. I'm obsessed with all things magical and supernatural. I've always been drawn to it, ever since I was a little girl. I've tried writing a non-fantasy story, but that always seemed to go down hill. It would be going great, no magic or anything, then some random vampire or magical being pops out of no where. Or the main character randomly gets these magical powers.  I also like to write poetry when I'm in my rare poetic moods. I used to write poetry all the time before I really got into novel writing. But then I cut down on it to send all my energy to my novel making and I guess I lost some edge to my poetry. But, I'm trying my best to come back to writing poetry. :) So bare with me please. 

Criticism is welcomed! Please, please, please criticize my work. Don't just tell me "Oh, I loved it!" or "It was okay." Tell me why you loved/liked/hated it. If you see any grammar or spelling mistakes, please do tell me. I love criticism. It only helps me! Makes me a better writer. So bring on the criticism, please! Don't worry about hurting me! Okay, scratch that. Criticize me completely, but in a nice way, please!

Please do NOT leave comments on my page asking me to read your work when I've never read any of your work before, talked to you, or you've never read any of my work before. I'll just delete your comment. Only sometimes will I actually go and say, "Okay, I'll add it to my list."

And please don't become a fan unless you have actually read my work or intend on reading it. It's fine to add me if we've talked a lot, as well. But I do hope you'll read my work ^^
