I am a thirty-four year old novelist in Northern California and my work has been accepted for publication to online periodical Drunk Monkeys for 2022, and has won contests for short form erotica with Two Sisters Publishing and a contract with Ink Stain Entertainment under the pen name Roux Emory. I’m a working doctor of audiology, an accomplished musician and visual artist, and a certified copy editor. I live with Multiple Sclerosis, hearing loss, vision loss, Crohn’s disease, and am a cancer “previvor” with BRCA-1 mutation. These experiences with medical conditions, disabilities, and suicide loss survival allow me to infuse my writing with a perspective most people don’t experience until a much more advanced age than my own.
