Many people claim that their writing career would really be ignited if only they had the time. I found a rather novel way of creating the available time; I was arrested in 2010 and sentenced to 90 months in federal prison. Of course prison is no paradise and yet I have access to a typewriter, I get free room and board (including toilet paper), and I have a new level of free time with which I can invest in writing.
Short stories are my true love. If an author can get you interested in characters that rapidly I think the story is fantastic as a format since the reader can enjoy a complete story without much time needed. In our current society where a limited attention span is the norm, a short story seems like the perfect companion.
I like to think that my own attention span is not limited too badly, yet I find creating a short story appealing. My plots can be deep enough to mean something but still succinct enough that I can finish typing and go out to the track to walk before the entire day is lost. Of course some stories are more than a session long to write so I do not mean to sound as though I don't care.
I have a great family and great friends that love me even with my new title of prisoner. As much as I have endured, life now is not all that different from before although of course I go to McDonald's much less. This site was created to feature the things I write from whimsical poems to dedicated stories. Some of these stories represent serious effort of my part and if they bring anyone a bit of pleasure I would be thrilled to hear about it. Writing them allows me to remain relevant to the outside world and keep my mental wheels spinning.
I consider myself dynamic and that should make my writing better. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and I had a blast there. I adore music including bands like the Deftones, Rakim, Chevelle, Mos Def and countless other artists.
I am not very secretive except for my most exotic plans. I tend to be a libertarian politically and I think mushrooms are gross; that sort of tells you everything you could want to know. Enjoy my page and my writings.
