I'd like to consider myself to be a good writer...until I discover another who is better than me :D

The wonderful thing about writing is that you can always create a new genre. You write something, say a romance between a man and a fish-eating alien chicken, and people might or might not like it. The good thing is it doesn't have to be straight out sci-fi or romance, it could be 'an artistic fusion' of the two. Therefore instead of your work getting mortally dissed by other people, and your ego getting bruised, it becomes a catalyst for open discussion between the on-word-review literary critics, like:

"Riveting..." The New York Times "...marvelous..." The Sunday Herald "Rubbish..." The Chicago Post

And this is the reason why I write, because people, like their writing can't be molded into a certain genre or stereotype and can be free to express themselves through any medium. It's all about being heard. Oh and as a last note, don't forget the three R's: Reading, Rating and Reviewing! Thanks XD
