About

First of all, thank you for coming to my page, and I'm asking you to please read anything of mine and comment before you leave!

Little plea there :)

Before I came to this website I had started a novel called The Shy Flower of Affection. It's partly religious and romance and the rollercoaster that I myself have had in certain experiences, and hopefully whenever it's complete I can post it up here!

To be completely honest with you, I'm not too sure which writing genre my skills lie yet; hence my array of works and being here. I was always more comfortable writing from the heart, from my own experiences, but since I joined Booksie I decided to try whole new genres which I have never tried before, such as erotica (scary!), adventure, romance, kidnapping novel- My Deep Despair which I am proud of so far and thanks for the comments! - eating disorder short novel, religious short stories, and I'm hoping to dip into some others too.

I'm using my time here to try and determine where my strengths and weaknesses lie, so if you could help me with that it would be so appreciated!

My name is Sammy-Jo Costi Angus, and I'm 18 years old and live in Suffolk in the east of the UK. Most easterly point in England I might add! My ultimate dream is to become a published author, but I am so far off! I'm only 4'11, talk more than I should, am a devoted child and servant of my Lord Jesus Christ, and consider myself to be a bit of an evangelist! If you have any criticisms about any of my work, please let me know, but please let it be constructive so I can work on it, but good comments would be great too!

Here are some quotes from books and films that mean a lot to me, and help:

"You have to take time to prepare the soil if you want to embrace the seed"- The Shack.

"Out of what seems a mess, Papa weaves a magnificent tapestry"- The Shack.

"Mountain help my heart be great, eagle help my feet to fly"- Pocahontas.

"Look where the path of hatred has bought us"- Pocahontas.

"I'm impossible to forget, But I'm hard to remember"- Elizabethtown.

"What is that word...? Whimsical!"- Elizabethtown.

"Some music needs air. Roll down your window"- Elizabethtown.

"Sadness is easier because it's surrender. I say make time to dance alone with one hand waving free"- Elizabethtown.

"You wanna be really great? Than have the courage to fail big and stick around. Make them wonder why your still smiling!" - Elizabethtown.

"Sometimes affection is a shy flower that takes time to blossom"- Becoming Jane.

"Of what do you wish to write? Of the heart"-Becoming Jane.

"As if the writing of women did not display the greatest powers of mind, knowledge of human nature, the liveliest effusions of wit and humour and the best-chosen language imaginable?" -Becoming Jane.

"Vice leads to difficulty, virtue to reward. Bad characters come to bad ends. Exactly. But in life, bad characters often thrive. Take yourself."- Becoming Jane.

"A novel must show how the world truly is, how characters genuinely think, how events actually occur. A novel should somehow reveal the true source of our actions."- Becoming Jane.
