About

I retired in 2017 after several successful careers in the military, restaurant management, and business education.  I began writing, mostly poetry, while in high school and throughout my young adult life (20 - 30) written communication was mainly by pen and paper.  No messaging or emails but lots of letters delivered by the U.S. Postal Service.  My intention is to share my poetry, letters, and short stories from my past but I also hope to get inspired and continue writing new poetry and short stories.  I am eager to read and learn from other members on Booksie.

In addition to writing, I enjoy photography, exploring the outdoors and fishing.  When appropriate a robust red wine, a good German brew, an American bourbon and a smooth whiskey (Scottish or Irish) is appreciated.  Rarely, a fine cigar combined with either of the last two, is divine!

I look forward to sharing and conversing about your and my writings.
