Profile Information

I started writing poems for Eulogies.  People who were important to me were my first poems, somewhere along the way I realized that these people deserved to know how I felt about them before they passed away.  I recieved such positive feedback from these poems that I decided to write about people places and adventures that I have met, been, and experienced.   In the past 10 years I have written 250 such poems with no end in sight.  I never realized what an interesting life I have led until all the memories started appearing on the pages in front of me.  I try to incorperate lessons that I have learned along the way into my poems for my children and grandchildren, hoping to save them from learning the hard way as I have had to do.  I don't expect everyone to like or agree with my poems but hope that they will make you think about life in the context that they were written in.  I find humour in the oddest places and try to reflect this in certain poems.  I find pain and suffering and try to likewise let the reader decide if it is relevent to the poems.  Mostly I write because it helps me recall stories and experiences that have shaped who I am as a person.
