About

Born in 1989 in the region of Behsoud, in Afghanistan, Mostafa Hazara grew up in Iran where his parents sought asylum. Back in Afghanistan in 2005, he studied political science after the Taliban’s departure. Member of the Pen association and the Afghan Writers Union, he ran the Afghan Cultural Foundation. He asserts himself as an anti-war poet, a Pole-e-sokh poet (a district in western Kabul) with three poem collections already published and four more ready to be published. He is a journalist for written press, television and he organized festivals (of contemporary poetry, poetry for the youth, and the Ten years of fiction in Afghanistan). He took refuge in France after the return of the Taliban in August 2021.
